Inspired by a passion for travel, and an aptitude for recognizing the trends shaping media headlines, the company works with hospitality, lifestyle, real estate, and asset management brands to shape narrative, build credibility, and create visibility with intention.

Founded by communications strategist Rana Kay, VERDIEN was created as an approachable alternative to traditional agencies, offering senior-level strategy, bespoke programs, and thoughtful execution for brands with compelling stories to tell. With more than two decades of experience across public relations, social media, and celebrity influencer partnerships, Rana brings a deeply informed, hands-on approach to every engagement.

Rana has led communications efforts for leading management companies, independent properties, luxury villas, restaurants, and developers, earning thousands of feature placements in outlets including USA Today, Condé Nast Traveler, Forbes, Travel + Leisure, People, Los Angeles Times, E!, Hotel Management and Hotel Business. She previously led in-house public relations for Hard Rock Hotel San Diego where she created and executed an extensive celebrity influencer program that generated global awareness for the property, and spent 13 years with a leading hospitality management company, supporting hotels and resorts nationwide as part of its extensive lifestyle portfolio.

With experience on both the agency and operator sides, Rana brings an owner’s mindset to communications, grounded in an understanding of what truly matters to asset managers and stakeholders: long-term growth, RevPAR, and brand equity that endures beyond a single headline. Her work prioritizes narrative-building that supports business objectives, not buzz for its own sake (although we love buzz).
